Loudspeaker upgrade- is it worth it?

380 big uns for more tweeters and some amplifying, does it cut the mustard or even as good as an alpine upgrade?

Read somewhere on this forum it's the same as logic 7 without the equlizer settings and surround sound, I thought it was down on the power?

As far as I am concerned the Alpine upgrade was money well spent and deffo worth it

If you have the opportunity to specify BMW Business (used to be called HiFi) then go for it. It will be a lot better than the standard installation and a lot cheaper than a retro fit Alpine kit.

If you can spring the extra cash for the Logic 7 - don't hesitate. It has 13 speakers as opposed to 8. I believe the sub-woofers are bigger and the amplification is a lot bigger.

BMW Business: 4 x 25w and 2 x 40w to the subs
Logic 7: 7 x 40w and 2 x 70w to the subs.

I have it and yes it is definately worth the extra over the standard.

Me too.

I have driven loaners with both the Logic 7 (and yes it is better than mine) and with standard (and you can really hear the difference).

The HiFi upgrade uses HK speakers (like the Logic 7) although obviously not as good but still far better than stock.
