I have noticed a wet patch on the passengers side just under the mat. I have not had a chance to look at it properly as i only saw it this evening, could it be the door seal? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Could be bad news. If the motor is still in warranty, go straight to your BMW dealer. I used to have this with Ford's and was invariably a bulkhead prob. But this may not be a possiblity with BMW due to their engine floor pans etc., so it may be something relatively simple.
