303 problems
Time to swallow my pride and ask for help. Sad, I can't seem to apply this stuff right
![]() After reading all the great reviews for 303 aerospace protectant I decided to purchase a 32oz bottle. Just like everyone said, the 303 was way better than any ArmorAll product. Took some advice from a fellow member here and i'm very happy with the dry factory look this product gives you. Small dark trim went fine, but I started to have trouble with the larger areas such as the dash and doors. I seem to be having difficulty with streaks/sploches. The surface looks great from afar but when you lean down to get a closer look in the light it looks uneven (splochy). I seem to be using an adequate amount, wipes on nice and evenly just looks likes crap seconds later. What's going on. |

kevE90zsp: 303 is not as easy to apply as some other products. In some parts like door trim and seats (leatherette) you definitely need some muscle to buff it in. Its hard work. Try diluting or using less stuff on your MF towel on those areas. I too have experienced the splotches that won't go away easily but have learnt from that. I beleive detail guru picus also mentioned how much more work 303 entails, but its worth it.

303 is finicky - you need to dry it completely to not get streaks/splotches. When I apply it I use two mf cloths, one for application and one dry one to full buff the residue away. Luckily there is a super easy way to eliminate the streaks if you get them. Take a clean damp microfiber and rub it over the effected area.
![]() It sounds like a lot of work but think of it like a sealant for your interior. Once it's on it's on for awhile, and it's got the best UV protection around, so imo at least the extra 10 minutes is worth it in the long run. |

Cheapest place to buy 303??
Thanks, Josh PS. I plan to use it to detail my entire interior. So far I've been using a damped cloth, but I'd really like to bring out the interior and make it look new again. I want to use 303 on the dash, doors, leeatherette, etc. Good idea/Bad idea? From searching it looks like this will work. TIA, Josh

Josh, yes you can use 303 effectively on just about any interior surface. Fair warning though, when applying on the leathrette, 303 is a PITA to buff/wipe in and off. 303 applies easier on harder surfaces. For best results follow Picus' advice. GL.

Okay. Looks like a lot of people are recommending it for leatherette, is there another product for leatherette that I should be looking into?
PS. I saw your posts on 303. Where did you find was the cheapest place to order from?

Check the retail locator on the site.
http://www.wheretobuy303.com/ in case that link doesn't work, here's the main site. Then just click on where to buy in the upper left hand corner. http://www.303products.com/main.php?infopage=protectant |
