M-tech body kit on Craigslist
Hey everyone,
I was searching around google and found this: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/d...468581120.html I contacted the person selling and it turns out it is a shop that ordered a large amount of these kits at wholesale and has 6 left over that they are selling for this cheap. The front bumper and side skirts are Polyurethane while the rear bumper is FRP. I know FRP is not the best but I already asked if he took returns if the product was not what I am expecting and he said he does, so I am not too worried. I'll let everyone know how it turns out, because $600 for a full m-tech kit and hamann replica front lip is a steal! *edit* guy sent me a link with a couple more pics: www.flickr.com/photos/sonictuning

I bought a kit but it has not arrived yet, hopefully sometime early next week I can post up pics of the kit. The company he stated was called Sonic Tuning. Not sure if this is who actually made the kit though.
$600 is for the full kit: M-tech front, side skirts, and rear. Not sure if he is parting kits our or not though...

New info:
"This kit is for E92: Front bumper in PU material, with hamann lip mounted already(Fiberglass). ( you may take it off for painting ) you can use your OEM headlight washer cover and towing cover. It doesn't come with the fog light assembly. Both of the side skirts are in PU. Back bumper is fiberglass, it does have holes made for PDC, and the diffuser is made for dual exh opening such as the 335 models. The parts is not painted or primed, depending on how many layers of paint you do; I know a lot of folks paint on PU directly. But I would take recommendation depending on your paint code from the shop." This was his validation email to make sure I knew what all was included in the price. So far their service is great.

I saw that too...my only concern was fitment. since you are the guinea pig, if things work out for you, I will most likely jump in as well
he said they sold 130 of these kits and haven't had any problems. that number seemed kinda high...you would think there would be more talk about this on the forums. |

Guy sounds like a liar if he says he sold 130 kits. They're nock off M-tech kits that all the cheap rep body kit websites sell. I wish the best, but usually fitment sucks on kits like this.

$600 for all of those parts SHIPPED seems sketchy!! Tisher who has a wholesale shipping account charges $150 for shipping on JUST the front bumper alone!! I cant imagine them shipping out a front/rear bumper and side skirts for JUST $600!! That would mean he's selling all the parts for $100 if not less!!

Shipping was an additional $150 for the entire kit.
And I am with you guys on the amazement scale. We will see how everything looks when it gets here...

Just pay with AMEX. They'll kick the guy in the balls and take the money back if it doesn't fit. I love Amex Its the credit card equivalent of your high school girlfriends father.
