Ethanol HPFP issues...anyone tried this stuff?
History - I have been using a fuel additive called Star-Tron for the past 4 months or so (at almost every fill-up). It is basically an additive that some boaters, etc. swear by since the introduction of more ethanol into the fuels (I found/read about so many boaters that were having FP issues, etc due to the ethanol in their fuel...they used this stuff and they had yet to have the same issues). I have never had a FP problem, so not really sure if this stuff works or not, but it runs great and has had no problems so far (knock on wood!).
Anyways, I was in Bass Pro, and getting more Star-Tron when I came upon this stuff. I bought a small bottle, as it sounds promising? Anyone tried this or run it in any other motor vehicle that may have problems due to ethanol (even though it hasn't been stated that ethanol is the cause of the HPFP probelms, only speculation.)? I believe it is a new product. http://www.crcindustries.com/phaseguard4/ Anyways, just thought I would share. Thanks.

Sounds interesting but....
Ethanol does explain the failures that happen with less then 2K miles on the car. It sounds that this cures phase separation which probably only happens with fuel that sits around for a while. I guess it's good insurance....
