+100000000 there are so many other mods out there that are worthless and cost a whole lot more than ~$30.

If you must, the cheapest ones you can find. They all do the same job, of almost nothing. I've tried them with a stock box + drop in and with DCI's. I felt no difference with DCI's and a slightly better throttle response at higher speeds with the stock box + drop in (this is probably a placebo effect).

yep that option too....

Bottom line-
it really is up to you to decide what you feel comfortable with and how much you want to spend.

until someone can prove either theory, i will keep them in.. It may not be "ramming" air in, but it is circulating more, faster..

It is also taking a lot of air away from the radiator. We do know for a fact that our car has cooling issues. Even if the scoops do give you slightly more air flow, the question is are you willing to sacrifice cooling on a car that has cronic heat problems?

i never had a problem with cooling so i guess thats not a factor for me. If it does then maybe i would change.

umm yeah... I have had scoops on for a while now and have never noticed a change in my engine temp from runs pre-scoop installation... so from my experience, I would say that the scoops certainly don't harm anything... now proving that they HELP anything is another issue

I know it's hard to extrapolate on something that hasn't been done yet, but say I were to get the scoops and filter and a JB+, what could I expect for a 0-60? It's an AWD model, and again, I've heard mix reviews on 0-60 times on those, some saying AWD helps, others say powertrain loss hurts.
IMHO save the money on the scoops, completely worthless.
If I remember right, Terry did some testing to confirm this too.
