No you misunderstood what I wrote. I had an in fender CAI and dynoed 470 rwhp SAE and then put the 9" filter on open no shroud with a 6" velocity stack between the filter and the MAF and picked up 22hp that way. the reason is likely that it was getting more air with the fan blowing on it then the filter that was in the fender.

No doubt that the In fender or the STETT can see better power while moving if it is in the air stream at speed.
