Quick Question on how JB3 measures Intake Restriction

Hi Guys,
So I just read again the whole Stett/DCI comparison from a while back, and people mentioned that the JB3 has a way to detect if the intake is too restrictive, and it will pull boost if it is not getting enough air, and I assume the stock DME does too. I'm wondering...where does it measure the air coming into the turbos? I only see a sensor on the rear intake tubing, and I think that is for the PCV system.

Help feed my curiosity!

Thanks!

It is a proprietary system, but involves the time and also solenoid duty cycle required to reach a given boost target.
