meguiar's gold class leather wipes.... need help!

i used the meguiar's gold class leather wipes to get some marks off the seat and im not sure if i applied it wrong, but now the leather is staying shiny! i didn't use in on the whole interior so it looks even uglier. one part is shiny while the other isn't!

anyway i can get the excess off? has anybody actually tried this product or use it with good results? i'm a moron!

Scrub it off with a damp cloth?

maybe use something like Lexol leather CLEANER rather than a conditioner. Soapy water used with a cotton terry cloth would have enough scrubbing action to remove the Meguiars.
