Are you getting misfires in all cylinders or just some? Do you have downpipes? I am thinking maybe an o2 sensor gone bad???

Once the car was hot, I never had any misfire issues at idle and the car never had a problem with misfires at WOT.

The dealer had changed my Fuel Pump a few weeks back and I replaced all my spark plugs and the coil plug in #3 to try to fix the problem myself. I took it in and they said they could not duplicate the problem (even though it had stored a few SES Cylinder #3 misfire codes).

I insisted that they keep the car and try the coldstart for a couple of days and the shop foreman actually got involved to fix the problem. And what was their final answer... They actually told me that the GOLF TEE mod was causing the inconsistent back pressure in the exhaust as the flap would not close during idle when the engine was cold. They say that this was the cause of the misfires at startup which would go away once the engine warmed up.

Can this explanation actually hold any truth to it??? I left the car without any tunes and removed the GOLF TEE mod (zip-tie mod for me) and started it up this morning without any codes but I need to do a few days of testing to see if the misfires come back.

If they don't I will put back the tunes and test some more but I can't believe the stupid GOLF TEE mod would actually have anything to do with the misfires.

Any thoughts???
And we wonder why BMW came out with v29.2...I take it that your dealer knows all about your mods....I think if my dealer knew I tried to add windshield washer fluid they would void my warranty

I am stock except for Dinan Stage 2.
At the time they said there was only a problem with 2 or 3 of the injectors but they replaced all of them at once. Not the plugs or anything else. They did forget to recalibrate the ecu so the first time i turned the car off and back on when i got it home I got alimp mode and had to tak eit back for the recalibration
