Yup, you need to blow out the headlights first. You can do this with either a high ISO or long shutter...I prefer the latter with a tripod. Then, if you want the star effect, set your aperture a little higher. F/8 is the sweet spot. You'll need to adjust your shutter so you get the exposure you want. Then try it. I don't know why I got a lot of lens flare. I was actually trying to avoid it but when I pulled it up on the PC I thought it looked pretty cool

haha eff you! the video quality on the mark 2 is effing amazing. (not to mention the picture quality obviously)! haha twas out of my budget when i got my 50d

Hmm I don't think I'll ever get to the point where I'll spend a grand on the car...I'll need to find a job at that point, and that won't happen for a while!
