+ 1 on lets set up a meet and see your sick M3 too...

I used the stock hood shocks on my carbon 8 for over a year, no issue!!! I felt Kelvin's hood shocks, they are not strong at all, so I things fine as long as he take precaution when open and close it.

Arash, did your E90 VRS hood have the two holes on the side for the OEM hardwares for the dampers? It would seems strange that VRS would have them if they are too strong for the hood to handle.

I know someone in the forum had done something else on the hood so they use the existing hardwares to mount on the hinges instead. I ordered the two "balls" from the dealer today and will get some L-bracket and bolts from Home Depot and see if I can attach it to the hood hinges instead

Will know tomorrow, since I will get them tomorrow...

Got the hood emblem today, cut the two pins and put a bunch of 3M tape underneath so it's level for sticking it onto the hood...

Clearbra hopefully within the week, and oh, it wasn't a ding on the hood, only on the clear coat... whew...

yeah sonii.. we need to meet up i havent seen you in ages.. i was downtown last night.. but not with the M lets set up a day an meet up .. if anything ill come by your place.. lool .. okay yeah if you checked them out and they arent strong.. cause the newtons in the stock shock compared to the e92 m3 shock was alot of difference.. that why they reccommended you get m3 shocks.. but as long as he is careful when opening and closing the hood he should be good
