2008-2009 Turbo Diesel???

Squawk Box on CNBC today - Tom Pervis mentioned a new high-performance Turbocharged Diesel engine to the US markets in 2 yrs. Anyone have any info on this?

bmw web site says they sould be available in late 08" they are completing emissions certs.

thats why im waiting for the diesel too! was gonna get gas until i saw that article .

I doubt that they will import a E91 with a diesel engine, which is what I would really want.

However, I pretty much have my wife convinced that we should get an X3. It is quite comparable in size to the E91, but is a bit higher, which would be better for the snow that we have been having this year.

Hopefully we will be given the opportunity to purchase a diesel X3. I don't really need the 335d motor and I am thinking that the 330d would be just fine for the additional X3 weight that it has over the E91.
