Not sure if this information regarding the train number (305/306) etc is contradicted here but either way they guy has said if the car was to be dropped off in Montreal then that happened yesterday... fingers crossed... i might get the car by the 23rd (Otto's is open on Sat Jan 23rd). I also sent this information to my CA hoping he can refute or confirm it. I'm losing my mind.
Hi!

Do you remember which phone number you called to reach the right person at CN? I tried 6 different numbers and the best answer I got was: You need the container number...

I also ordered my 335i at Otto's. I ordered on October 28th and I'm like you were; I'm losing my mind!!! The car was discharged at Halifax last Monday!

How was your experience at Otto's? Anything I should know?

Thanks,
JF

The car's changed quite a bit in the past couple weeks. Drop, debadge, new roundels, pedals, painted reflectors... just waiting on wheels now!

Basically, how long before a cop notices the missing plate, cares enough to pull him over and write him up to plate the car?

IMO, 12/23/06 was day one (day of pickup). So if he were busted today, the number would be day 3.

I'll go with 172 days to the first nab

Anything for the closest guess, Picus? Could be a marketing opportunity for GTA in Detail here

This is really unfortunate.

This is at least one thing I appreciate of Quebec; We don't have a front plate.

Yep, you guys have it lucky there. I put my own bracket on (by bracket I mean 2x 5/16th machine screws, 6 nuts and 6 washers. ), my car is hideous now:

The way you installed it looks much better than the standard plate holder.

You did the best considering you're required to have it...

Now if I can finally receive my 335 to reduce my drooling when on this forum!!

Ciao!

Geeeet oouuuutt!

Wow I really thought you'd go more than what, 20 days?! Shit, too bad indeed Kev. You must be bummed out, you actually allowed yourself to take pics of your car with dirt on it, and post them .....

Good job on the plate tho. Are you gonna wrap it in a smoked platecover? It'll help against the SG, and the whole rust thing.

I'm not sure about the cover; I don't even know where I would get one.

Ya, I was bummed, but it happens. I knew it'd be an issue; the cop was not very cool about it though.

As for my car with dirt on it, har har. :P It's filthy actually, I got it undercoated and haven't washed it since, to it's all caked in oil. Sexy car!

Out of curiousity, where do you go for the undercoat?

The same place I got my springs and winters put on, RMP Motors in Bolton. It's a bit of a drive but they do a killer job. Undercoat was $100, no holes (they used the ones already in the car).
