Radio Issues

Anyone experienced issues with the radio on start up?

I've not witnessed it myself, but it's my wife's daily driver and she's said that on 2 occasions she's started the car and the radio (centre stack) is completely blank except for the temp / climate control area.

After pressing the on/off/volume button a few times, only the time comes up.

She presses the button again, even holding it down for a while, and nothing happens.

Only after placing a call, or receiving a call does the radio come back on. Is there some sort of secret radio quirk I'm not aware of, or does this sound like my first service visit is going to happen really soon?

LMK, thanks.
(luckily she was able to capture the pics below the last time it happened)

Guess it has something to do with the way the bluetooth works with the system...
