My car is on the Aida, but I saw a while back some GPS maps that people where using, how do you do this?

First of all. get the call sign from http://www.sailwx.info/ - look up by ship name, in your case the AIDA is SCFI.
Generally, use www.aislive.com when the ship is in close proximity to land and use www.sailwx.info when the Aida reaches open atlantic waters.

You can use google earth to help you keep tabs. With google earth you can input the ship coordinates as given on sailwx.info.

On AISlive it shows a million triangles, how do I find my ship? Is there a way to search?

no you have to zoom in and look for it

the premium subscription allows you to search by ship.

go into squares and regions looking for your ship name

also, if you have an idea if your ship is near germany - go to bremerhaven
