Rouge Engineering will be coming out with one soon. Its supposed to be the best. Its designed to break-in over time, and not break after sometime. The one int he 330i gets rave reviews. Get the M short shift knob....its cool and feels great.

As for shift knobs, here is "The Ultimate 6MT Knob Thread": http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29731. I have the E46 ZHP knob and its great. Hope that helps.

I have the e90 Short Shifter Knob and the B&M shoft throw shifter. Setup is awesome and very precise.
