New wheels on E90 LCI widths?

Hi all,

Im looking to put 18s on my E90 LCI.

It currently has 17" 225 45 17 all round.

Ive seen a lot of talk about wider rears and also that the LCI has a wider rear track?

Question is, can I just buy some reps which are 225 40 18 all round or do I need wider rears?

Its all a bit confusing to me as Im no wheel expert and the LCI wider rear track has made things even more confusing!!

you can fit the same size 18" wheels all round - you do not have to have a staggered set.
