Have you determined how we can purchase the "kit"? Is there a list started? Will you have a "buy it now" on your website? I'll nominate myself 1st on the list if there isn't one yet! <<money sitting.......waiting......>> |

All of the cars except the very earliest ones come with the update so your car will have it. As Shiv demonstrated, there was no or very little HP difference between the pre vs post updated cars. Don't worry about it |

It's a minimal loss as my car dyno'd 271HP and 282ft-lbs stock after the update was done since my car was one of the first cars in the US. The only thing they really did is make the car run just a bit more rich at the lower rpms range per my service advisor. Once a car runs a little rich, it begins to feel a bit more "fluffy" giving the impression that you lost a noticebale amount of torque.

the long cranking times may be due to a failing high pressure fuel pump. i have replaced 2 of them. not hard. takes about a hour and half. the pump sits on the vacum pump under the intake maniflold. take it in to the dealer. it will eventualy start cutting boost off. and soundl like its hitting 2 step. when it stops building the pressure up were it needs to be to over come cylinder pressure. figure your car will be at the dealer for a few days aswell. they will have to file a puma and get the ok from bmw na to install the pump.
