Belkin Micro USB CLA F8Z445ea

Hi guys,

Has anyone got one of these to work in a 320i?

Belkin Micro USB CLA F8Z445ea

I recently bought one but it didn't work. I got it exchanged but that didn't work either. The charger sockets work fine with anything else.

Wondering if I've just been unlucky twice or whether they are not compatible with the car because of the size.

Thanks

Yup, got one - you'll probably find it's not working because it's not seating all the way down. Mine needed quite a shove to get it to go down all the way, which scored the plastic of the charger, so as long as you always put it in the same way around from then on it's fine

That worked a treat. Thank you very much

A very poor design as it didn't work in an A4 and a Fiesta either. I've shoved it in the glove box socket where I intend to keep it permanently so not bothered about it being difficult to remove.

Thanks again

Tried forcing my one in but no way it would work. I have it here if anyone wants it, I can post it to them. It has the end for fitting to i pod only

I used the head of a screwdriver to knock it in place. It really does need forcing in. Place something on top of the USB to avoid deforming it whilst hitting.

It makes it difficult to remove though so I'd say it's only worth doing if you plan to keep it in the socket all the time.
