225/255 vs 235/265

Hey guys, I searched around but could not really find an answer to this...

Seems most people here on the forum upgrade to 235/35 and 265/30 when they go to 19s (8.5" and 9.5") on a 335.

I am trying to decide between doing this or 225/35 and 255/30 on 8" and 9" wide wheels. I am going to be dropping on Eibach Pro or H&R Sport, so I figured why go wider if I dont have to...

Maybe a 235/265 setup would be slightly more comfortable?

Any thoughts?

The main reason is that since the wheel is an inch larger in diameter, keeping the same width tire on the tire would mean a lot less sidewall. Increasing the width by 10mm per inch increase keeps it at about the same overall diameter for the tire/wheel.

That's not what he's asking.

Do 225/255. 235 is too much for a 8" wheel.

No, that did answer my question....more sidewall on a 265/30 than a 255/30.

BTW, if I did go 235 on the front, it would be on an 8.5 inch wheel.

I have 8x19 235 35 ET35
and 9x19 265 30 ET35

M6 reps
the tires fit perfectly! they protect the rim, aren't squeezed nor stretched
