So once my washer fluid had finally deiced today I played the game of trying to empty it fully so that I could refill it fully with screenwash fluid rather than mainly water!

An empty tank then guzzled just over 5 litres of screenwash and she still wants more it seems!

Anyone else notice the bottomless pit that is their washer fluid tank!?

my perception was that it was just over 5 litres.

I did mine yesterday from completely empty and it also took the whole 5l container but when i was done i could see the fluid settling 4-5 inches below the spout

Maybe it had caused an air bubble while i was filling and it was still settling but i thought that might be the capacity .. be interesting to see if anyone knows for sure.

oh ok - I won't rush to buy some more then if it's probably about full!

That said, what i've put in is good for up to -2 I think and we're expecting up to -7 over the next few days so my efforts might be useless!

I might start using the mrs's mini if this weather persists!

Just don't try refilling it on an uphill slope. I merrily poured about a pint in, waited for the air bubble to clear and the neck to drain, then added some more, only to hear a trickling noise. Looked behind the front wheel to find the fluid I'd just poured in running back down the driveway. Bah.

I always wonder what happens if I miss the hole a lot, is there anything near it that its likely to damage!? My aim isn't all that good and im too lazy to get a funnel.

As you can imagine my girlfriend is forever cleaning the toilet floor.

Use a funnel, it's so much easier. Nothing is near it that would come to harm. It is just over 5 litres.

Also lulz!
