Arrow 255/35/18 tyres right for 5x120 ET38 alloys?

Evening all

Well I might be getting some new wheels but I'm not sure if I can really afford it right now so I'm trying to price up tyres so I don't end up with some unknown crap!

Can anyone just confirm that 255/35/18 tyres would be right for 5x120 ET38 18" alloys on my E90?

Thanx in advance!

Spoony

That's the size BMW fitted to my 8.5"-wide 18" wheel, so I think it should be fine

Thanx for that I thought it was the correct size I just can't decide if I should get some 18s at £600 or go for 19" CSL reps with falkens for £900. I think £900 is a bit too much though. hmm

I guess you want to fit them in the back only. With 8.5x18 with ET38 you should have no issues, BMW uses 18x8.5 ET37. You can put some spacers to put the wheel a bit more to the outside.

Still cant decide! The wheels are 8.5" all round so I can swap them front back Just gotta get £625 past the wife/bank! Not a bad price for 18s with Falkens best I've got so far.

Garage List
I don't know that 255/35 fits on the front. Normal 18" wheel spec is 8" at front and 8.5" to rear with 225/40 front and 255/35 rear.

I know that 235 tyres are used instead of 225 when moving to non runflats on the front so that maybe could be a compromise - which would mean no wheel rotation of course.

SOmeone who knows the exact answer should be along soon.
