So my gate closed on me today, and there are long sections of scrapes/scratches on the doors. Most of them went away by hand with a little bit of rubbing, but there seems to be a couple scratches that wont go away. They are slightly deeper than a surface scratch, but not deep enough to catch my nail when i run it across. What are the chances it'll come out with a good buff?

If you can't feel them, they should come out with a proper polish.

there are a couple that i can feel when i rub my finger against. if i can feel it does that mean it wont come out?

That depends how deep that scratch is, if you can see paint then its over for your ass. If its just on the surface clear coat then you can wet sand and repolish.

i ran my finger across some of them....and it seems a couple of them are deeper than i thought, but the rest aren't extremely deep, but i can still slightly feel it when running my hand over it.

Depends on how perfect you want it. I'm guessing that most of it will come out. I've fixed similar looking marks on a friend's car before. About 95% of it came out and that was good enough for him.

First, I'd wash the car. Then, the first product I'd use would be Meguiars ScratchX with a terry-cloth applicator sponge. It'll take a little while to do it by hand, but it's a product that's widely available over-the-counter. ScratchX is a light polish that I've found works for most marks. Be sure to wax that area after you use the polish.

If that didn't work, I would start to hit it with my Flex random-orbital and various polishes. But I already have the equipment, so it's pretty straight forward for me. In your case, if you have no equipment you'd have to decide whether you'd want a professional to go after it or get the equipment and do it yourself.

By the looks of things im willing to bet 90%+ of that will come out. Some 1500 followed with 2500 grit wet sand + polishing compound will take it right off.

it may buff out but not all of them , a good 70% improvement ... my guess from pic.

Good advice given above, I think that's very fixable based on those shots. Polish (with ScratchX or other polishes) should take out 80-90%, but you may need some wet sanding to get it back to near-perfection.

Thanks for your input guys. I know that I won't be able to get it back to 100% again, but as long as I can take out 80-90% of it, or enough to not be noticeable unless looked at closely, I'll be content. I'll probably get a carwash tomorrow to see how serious it really is and then go ahead and give it to my detail guy and have him just detail the whole car, it was time for a detail anyways.

I bet that sounded hellacious. I think i would have cried. I went off on my daughter when she bumped her golf clubs against my rear quarterpanel and it didnt do any damage!

There looks like quite a bit of simple transfer from the gate or whatever material struck the paint. I'd start with a good wash and polish and maybe an AIO product to remove whatever has simply transferred onto your paint. Then you know what you're left with to go further.

My sister-in-law had a similar run in with a black gate in her white car. I clayed 90% of it off, there was just a bit of actual paint removed right on the wheel well boundary. If your gate is a lighter color, similar to the marks left on your car, give the clay route a try.

odly enough its a black gate so idk why the marks are white

If it was a black gate, then you can be pretty sure it's scratches to the clear and not paint transfer. Claying might help a little, but will probably need a buff.
