Laptop suggestion?
Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy a new laptop for general use (no gaming, graphics design, etc.). My budget is about $600-800. I know there are many 15"+ out there that are cheap but they might be too big for me (I like the mobility). I currently have a Vaio and like its look and performance so was thinking of going with another one. However, I wanna explore all options before buying it. Sony Vaio CW series Lenovo Thinkpad There's also a Lenovo G series (budget series) that is about $450+ tax. Bottom line- I'd like to stay close to $600 or so if possible. However, if a laptop has much better performance I don't mind paying a little more money for it. There are a few HP's at Best Buy that are around $450-550 but I'm not sure if they're that good. Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Sony are the brands I'm considering. THANKS FOR ANY HELP GUYS!! |

Yeah- I used a friend's netbook before and didn't like it (way too small). I would like an all-around kind of laptop. Thus I thought 13.3" or 14" ones would be good because it's not too bulky and it's not too small.

Get a 10"-12" one. Perfect blend of smaller size and price.

12" is waaay too small. I'd like to stay in the 13.3-14" range. My Vaio is 14.1" and it's perfect IMO. |

Lol guys- I appreciate the sentiment but I have a budget to stick to. If money wasn't an issue I would have gone with a Dell Adamo or like a $3k laptop and be done with it.

Sorry, misread the thread title. Thought you meant lapdance suggestion. No, I don't have any suggestion for a laptop.

Netbook ftw.
I have an Acer Aspire One. $295 and does everything I need. It's ultra-portable, capable, quick boot, ample storage, etc. It's perfect for the average user. |

I was gonna get the CW with blu-ray for $800 at BB (sold out everywhere though). The SR series is kinda expensive at $100 more. I found it else where without the Blu-ray for $800 but feel like I missed out.

Couldn't find it. I checked out Asus laptops and felt it's lacking something. I'm sure they make great products as they rank #1 in reliability (according to PCMAG??). I just prefer Sony more.
