Just venting

So my wife took the Inifinti QX56 through the car wash at the gas station. I have asked/reminded/begged to only go to the touchless...for the times that she wants the car washed when i can't do it...

thanks for listening..

That's venting???

LOL .......... I'd take the keys away from her & rent a Chevy Aveo for her to drive. That'll change her tune to respect a LUXURY vehicle.

Can't say I disagree, especially since that's a monster of a car to perform a paint correction job on.

Obviously she is telling you that you arent washing her vehicle enough. Its just the passive agressive way of doing so.

I think that's what my wife does too. I spent 5 hours on just the wheels on Thanksgiving, and the next Thursday she came home after the work mobile car wash with black shite flinging off the tires onto the car. . .

Best regards,
Wede

I am venting here 'cause if I say too much to her...I'll probably never get sex again..

I knew that I would get the necessary sympathy here...thanks for the support and I know that I am not crazy (despite what she tells me)

Argh, that's not cool. The gas station ones are the worst of the worst too.

It's amazing what one car wash can do to your car.

Sorry to thread-jack but I need to vent too! I just picked up my car from the dealership today FULLLLLL of swirl marks. I specifically told them not to wash my car. I even taped a sign on my steering wheel telling them not to wash my car and to fill up the washer fluid. What did they do? They washed my car and didn't fill up the washer fluid. I didn't have not one swirl on my car prior to this incident, and now I have to spend countless hours to repair my JET BLACK PAINT! I didn't get to inspect my car because I picked it up after hours and it was dark. Man they are gonna hear it tomorrow!!!! .......End Rant

Agreed. Your SA should have recorded in the notes that you requested the car not be washed. There's no excuse, especially with your added sign (which I do too) - they screwed up. Don't take their detailing service offers either. Do your own research and find someone who knows what they're doing near you. Ask around here or Autopia.

Good luck.

I will be doing my own detailing. What really sucks is that I just prepped my car for the winter a few weeks ago. Still debating if I want to correct it now, or wait till my Spring detail.

Well at least go complain and have them pay for supplies!

Take the keys away until she learns her lesson? That's what I'd do if my gf pulled something like that.
