BMW 118D Drivers Window Fault

Hi all,

My girlfriend has a BMW 118d, and over the past couple of days the drivers window will not drop when you open the door. Thus, when closing the door the window is to high and catches the frame of the car. The passenger side is working fine and both windows operate as normal when manually operated via the controls.

Any ideas?

My E92 'vert did this and the dealer had to hook it up to the computer and 'reset' the drivers window. Didn't take long but a pain the ass. Apparantly the car had 'forgotten' where the window was so because it didn't 'think' it was fully closed it deemed it not necessary to drop it when opening the door

My front drivers windows started playing up so i reset using the 30sec method .
Put window fully up and hold button up for 30 secs , do the same with the window down hold button down . It sorted my problem , hopefully it sorts yours .

Thanks all for your advice. The window is working now. Must of been the weather. Nice to know how to reset the window.
