Thinking ahead to Spring Track Car
I know the driver is most important, but with that said what makes and models offer high out of the box reliability, good tuning potential and straight on performance.
Ii have been thinking of converting the E82, but then I wanted to get some ideas from others. I have also been considering a E46 M3, NSX S/C, or a tuned turbo "04-05" Miata. I would like to set them up for 50%/50& street/track use. Oddly, I am finding mydself drawn to the little miata with a turbo upgrade and 250WHP. This seem to be the most affordable option which means I could enter more events, and could absorb a total loss. Also if I go with the E82 is it a necessity to have a 6mt or is step-auto up to the task? Does anyone also have some suggestions. Potentially also where to buy a used race car Thanks, John |

the EVO and s2000 are also great choices for track cars. There are a lot of choices, and it really depends on what your budget is.
and definitely manual trans for a track car. no auto setups |
