Light Upgrades

I wanna upgrade my front headlights, because when ever i am driving i can see nothing on dip when another car is driving, sometimes i have to stop because of the small roads here

What would you guys recommend for halogen lights? i cant really afford an upgrade to xeons and i dont want to fry the wiring or bulb holder.

Id like to upgrade Full, Dip, Side and Fogs.

Ive been looking on Mstyle and seen these?

http://www.mstyle.co.uk/acatalog/bmw..._Upgrades.html
Xenon look headlight bulbs x2
Xenon look front foglamp bulbs
LED front sidelight bulb replacements

Will they be ok or better going Phillips or Osram route?

Cheers all and Happy X-Mas

Your suffering the same as me, I drive down a back road two or three times a week later at night and the lights are utter crap

I'm going OEM xenons as they seem to be the only solution

How much is going to cost you?

I was actually thinking that my car's headlights were adjusted for motorway driving cause its an English import and was only used on the motorway, but dosnt look like that now :S

Why dont you guys just raise your low beams? Other people might not be too fond of you, but at least you'd be able to see

Alrite Im going to go with 2 sets of these for main and dip beam
http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H7-...ulbs-pair.html

Pair Of these for the fog lamps
http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/HB4...sion-pair.html

These For the sidelights

http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501...sion-pair.html

Was going to go for the H7 Philips Power 2 Night GT-150 but they didnt have them in fogs or sides and i wanted them all to match

Should be error free correct?

30% should make a huge difference? and they will look slightly similar to xeons?

Cheers all

£81 quid altogether Smart Or Not?

Check what my local motor factors has to offer?

Pete, Try have your headlamps focus'd...on any car they can easily be out of focus because of something like a pothole or speed bump...regardless of the year! Also I would be careful on the type of bulb upgrade you go for, alot of the blueish xenon look or bright white bullbs are unbareably bright for on coming drivers and if your lights are focus'd poorly it makes the problem worse. Also if your dipped headlights are 2,000 lumens or more headlamp washers are required by law...doubt this is enforced too well!! You also dont want to end up looking like a tarted up 106!! good luck!

Yea I know what your saying, where is the best place to get this checked? I just wanted to give it a better look like the higher spec bm's just hate the yellow halogen tbh :P

Was driving home one night and seen these lights, thought i was been abducted :P
But it was a twat it a fooking 306 d-turbo, but they were real brights.

The ones i picked are recommended by autoexpress and are only 30% brighter so shouldnt be to bad?

You could take it to your local stealer!! or any other fairly good garage will have the set up for checking/aiming the headlamps...I got my Audi done last year only cost €20, if I was getting the bulbs would prob go for the white ones because the blue ones always seem soooo blllluuuueee!

Have been browsing for aggess on what headlamp upgrade to get aswell, make sure and let us know what they're like petey if you take the plunge! (Pics!)..very hard to know what is a tasteful bulb with better output, without looking like a screwed-out d-turbo with reek flying out the back of it as you said!!
