sport package looks fine. If you have non sport suspension you'll want to get her lowered.

Sorry I wish I had my before pics, essentially it looks like an SUV. I recommend you do rims/drop 2 the sametime.

Definitely needs a drop after 19's. I think the rolling diameter increases, so the car actually sits a bit higher than the stock 17's or 18's...at least it felt that way until I lowered it.

Here's a good thread with lots of pics: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ics+rims+drops

I have OEM 179s on my 2009 335i e90, I think they look good without a drop. Folks out there that are fans of the "drop look" I'm sure will immediately look at these photos and suggest a drop... I have the ZSP which does lower the suspension over the non-ZSP by a half inch or so.

A couple sets of pics below:

With sport suspension, maybe. Without, definitely need a drop! The stance of the car really goes a long way in the looks department.

Thanks for all the pictures guys!

Reason I ask: Its at least a grand to drop a car on coils. I am opting not to do just springs, as my car already has nearly 40k on it and I am assuming my stock equipment would give in a matter of 10k miles...

I do have sport suspension... Decisions decisions.... 3k+, all for my rims/tires/stance of my car? Sounds a little excessive.

Thoughts?

do it, the coils would be considered maintenance, since you will have to change your struts soon any way - there is your rationalization.

If this is your initial move from 18" to 19" rims then it's probably worth it - especially if you happen to be ready for new tires (although if you're in Fargo, I'm sure you're running your winters right now...). I'm sure there's a desire to knock it out all at once, but you could roll with the 19s and your ZSP for awhile to see how it looks, then do the drop at a later time if you feel it's aesthetically necessary.
