I've got an LCI so the map is on the HDD, but should I have also got a DVD in case the HDD ever breaks?

If so, need to contact the stealer

No you dont get one. As far as i know if your HDD ever breaks they replace it meaning you dont get a chance to save any data "that you may have"...Ive also read replacing the HDD means you have to reinstall the entire system by the dealer.

Let alone not having a DVD, I'm chasing my dealer as to why I have a 2008 edition Sat Nav map for a 2009 edition motor.......

How can I check what version I have? Presume there is a menu for it?

There is a menu - I had a look on my car last week.

Think it was on the settings menu under the nav.

I had the same issue (2008-2 version to be exact). When i questioned this with the dealer i was advised it can be upgraded - for a fee of £161.
