Speaker cone dent?

Hi guys, so close to finishing the alpine install, really taking my time as I want everything to go back it is intended. About to fit the tweeter and discovered the cone is dented, really pissed as i has already returned one kit with a dented mid speaker cone.

Im concerned they are not gonna believe me a second time! Its not a major dent but will this affect the sound, or can i fix it myself holding it over boiling water??
Also one tweeter had no branding however, the second had alpine branding and a different cage so never had a matching pair anyway!
I have one tweeter fitted already I hope they will just exchange the broken bit.
HNY!!

Dear oh dear Lee, this isn't good!

You've paid decent money for the kit - so it should be in perfect condition.

Although saying that, a slightly dented speaker centre bit won't have much if any effect on the sound quality.

But I would want the grilles and branding to be spot on though.

The packaging of the kits is brilliant, so you shouldn't really have to suffer any damage.

How have you got on with the wiring?

Wiring was good fun!!! I have the LCI so assumed i had to tap into the sub plugs, but assumption is the mother of all f-upps!
So had to find the splices and work out what route they were going on to connect them with the appropriate.

I think BMW are paying heavy handed gorillas to package the kits!

My worry of taking door panels of was an issue at all, they are well on there but got the knack of it in the end.

I have a slight hole in a 15" sub. It doesn't make any difference.

An old trick which might work is to suck the cone back out into shape with a vacuum cleaner. Careful that you don't cause any more damage though. It should work if the cone has just popped in.
