Brake dusted dumbfounded...

Hey, first post of many likely.

Anyways... I am having a very hard time getting the brake dust of my OEM star spoke rims. I have tried pretty much everything from specialized cleaners (eagle ones aluminum brake dust remover) to clay bars to scratch pads and nothing will get this brake dust off these wheels. Now here's the weird part:

After a long morning of scrubbing with the cleaner and everything else I gave up and decided to continue washing the rest of the car and some water got on the rear left while and I saw some of the dust move, so I hit it wit the sponge and in seconds the wheel literally looked like it was straight from the factory. Wtf?

Now I have one spotless wheel and three others that look like garbage. Any one have any advice?

let it sit for an hour or two and then hit it with a DD or DI wheel brush... it should work out okay...

I'll give the p21s a shot. Is there anywhere I can buy it locally or do I have to order it?

I hope I haven't damaged the wheels by scrubbing too hard with the cheap wheel cleaner. =/

You will have to buy it online, as with almost all high-end detailing products. Detailed Image and Detailers Domain are both BimmerPost sponsors, and are both excellent vendors run by top notch guys. I purchase 99% of my supplies through DI and DD - they carry just about everything, so you should be able to find anything you need. Both offer 10% off coupon codes for BimmerPost members.
