How to determine Navigation disk version on Navi?

Is there a way to see what version map disc you are using with out looking at the DVD?

This question relates to an 06 330i.

Thanks in advance,

EricO

Eject the Map DVD and look on the label. It will be marked 2009-1 or 2009-2, etc.

Read the disc on a PC drive. Browse the folders for some text files. Somewhere buried in there is the version/date. Search here and elsewhere to find the specific file.

Specifically, when you have the DVD in a PC, do a windows search for the file "ENG.LSC" if you don't feel like browsing for it. Open that file in Wordpad and you will see the DVD version.
