Anyone successfully hardwire a E93?
I've been trying to figure out which wire to tap for the past hour (took out the light/SOS console) for my Escort 9500, can't figure it out.
Every hardwire in the DIY is for either a E90 or E92. The E93 is different since it has no sunroof (obviously). Anyone care to lend a helping hand? Will drive to you. Thanks! |

That would be great but I think its impossible to run the wire down the A pillar to the fuse box because the A pillar on the E93 doesn't come off (at least not the same way as it does in the E90/E92, there is no AIRBAG logo to take off to unscrew a screw).

Nevermind, its done.
For all future purposes all you gotta do is take out the light/SOS console and tap the red wire going into the driver side harness of the light/SOS console. I found the wire with a ghetto method... Took a sewing needle and poked a couple of wires, then connected a voltage meeter and turned the car on and off. After 5 tries, finally found a wire that went to 12 Volts when the car is turned on and 0 volts when it is turned off (to make the radar turn on/off with the car). Took about 30 mins. |
