Christmas week cruise anyone?

Finalized plans are as follows

Date: January 3rd 2010
Time: 12pm
Place: Last rest stop in NJ on Route 80 west. It's after exit 4A. You will see a McDonalds and Days Inn. Parking will be at McDonalds.
The drive to High Point will be close to 2 hours, so we can fill up at the rest stop before we leave if need be. Then we will take some pictures at High Point, and then go to the mall for dinner.

I am doing a preliminary run Wednesday the 30th to see how the roads are, being that it just snowed. I will post an update at that time.

Sunday is kind of up in the air due to the weather the next few days. I'll have to see the situatuion on saturday afternoon. I went up there on monday, and the only issue I may see is road salt / small gravel. We will have to stay about 3-4 car lengths away from each other. Other than that the route was pretty good. I am bringing walkies. I will take one, and I'll give the other to someone that will be mid pack. Anyway, if the weather sucks, we will reschedule for January 17th.

Wait, you guys are driving all the way up to port jervis and are not going up Route 97 which is 2 minutes away?!

This should be a crime for anyone that owns a BMW.

OP, take them up to Hawk's Nest and then go back down the route you had planned, it's so much fun and that's where the real turns are.

We did a similar route in the summer.

idk if i would really go to hawks nest in this weather, gravel + road salt + summers, does not = good... lol maybe just crusing,but not taking those nice turns FAST
