Did anyone try one of these?

Looks very impressive. If you have an iphone an slingbox, you can (let the passengers) watch TV on your iDrive display while commuting.

Since you can install this unit yourself following the DIY guide, and it doesn't look like the installation is 'invasive', i think in theory you can undo the installation before you bring your car in for service.

i.e. should be fine.

I am going to purchase one. Will post my findings after i have received and installed it.
