BMW Performance Steering Wheel (Electronic)

What are you guys paying to get your BMW Performance Steering Wheel (Electronic) installed from the dealership?

Best quote I got was 3 hours - one to install, and 2 to program?

Has anyone had to have their car software updated for this steering wheel? I believe I am still on the old MS81 or whatever it was. Evan @ Tischer says I shouldn't need an update and I pulled the below out of the install document - but my local dealerships are telling me it may be necessary.

I looked over the instructions Evan sent me - I do see where it says:
This retrofit system does not require coding.
- Connect the battery
- Conduct a brief test
- Conduct a function test
- Re-fit the car components as required
- Making basic settings

Just trying to make sure

The reason why BMW dealerships are trying to charge me for 'programming' is because they are saying the SZL needs to be programmed. Scott, a member of this forum who works at a BMW dealership, told me that any cars equipped with the sport package will not need the new SZL programmed.

If anyone has any input, feel free.

I had it installed at a independent shop, no need for programming.
