looks like a bunch of crap to me. yea it technically wasn't a full stop behind the line but whatever, it was a right turn behind the shield of a green arrow so it really shouldn't even be looked at. unfortunately and ironically the state has no money and has to find a way to pay for all those employees to review this stuff, so it's a never ending circle

if I remember right, if you fight it, someone from both the law enforcement agency and the redlight camera company have to be present to testify against you and not either or

You are in fact asking for people opinions (thoughts) on a Photo Enf ticket you just got so expect to hear some. I never in anyway attacked you personally and I apologize if it came off that way. All I'm trying to say is do your best to fight it, but don't make it sound like it's unjustified and that you're a victim. I actually gave you some advice on how to fight it and I wish you the best of luck in doing so.

You didn't have a green turn arrow. End of story. The other lane having a green arrow doesn't mean jack. One of them could have whipped an U-turn right into you.

By taking pictures from other angles, particularly the front.

Which, considering my rate of speed, would have been easy to stop for. Not to mention, iirc, that intersection has a no U-Turn sign for that direction, because of the tight radius for the turn. Try again.

if there's a no u-turn for the traffic turning left then someone really should have decided that this citation shouldn't have issued. most cops aren't too nice in handing out tickets, but they do at least have some discretion and in this scenario I doubt most would have even bothered to pull you over

I plan to do some research about the area before I'm due in court. I'd like to see this dismissed before it ever got there, but I don't think that will happen.
This infraction, while 100% right (never said it wasn't), with human intervention, would have never been cited.

I think Poway gets away with aggressive red light camera enforcement because many of the people ticketed are not residents. Lots of San Diego and Ramona residents drive through Poway to get someplace else. |

The only reason I was there was to go to Kragen to pick up a California Duster, and then I was on my way up to Camino Del Norte to go to the CVS to pick up a prescription that hadn't been transferred up to the new house yet. That right onto Pomerado was for that.
Really buggered about it. I see myself as a fairly safe driver, even courteous. Example: I was in front of a Ralph's earlier today, and this lady with a cane was starting to walk across to go into the store. With the rate of speed she was going, I could have easily gone by her, but instead, I waited for her to cross. I frequently let people in front of me where others wouldn't, etc. For some people in this thread to jump down my throat just bugs the hell out of me, especially because I get the feeling it's a holier than thou hypocritical type of situation.
