no need for all season....most summer tires (maybe except Michelin PS2)....are sufficient to channel rain and water away......as long as u pay attention not to burn all the way to bald in winter season....

Yeah I guess I meant summer. Although I've been to tire rack and they have all sorts of "summer" categories like ultra and max. Seems like all seasons are out.
What's a good summer tire that is less than $110 per tire? Looking for responsiveness and handling. I heard you lose some of the responsiveness when moving to a non RFT. |

You lose the turning sharpness, but that's about it. I'm going with Dunlops the next go round.

Stiffer sidewalls provide less 'flattening' when you turn, making the turn more sharp.

Smoother ride would be a better description. The RFTs actually have a pretty tenacious grip to begin with.
This thread is a good read. Also uses the Michelin PS2 ZPs as their baseline, as up to this point, they've been the pinnacle of the RFT class of tire. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=279362

Pretty pricy tires. Plus I'm on stock 16's. Anything similar too RFT that aren't RFT? Like tires with a "stiffer than normal" sidewall? Those Hankook's rec. earlier seem like a good route but I don't have 17's. Odd thing is I had a Mazda 3 and it was standard with 17's.
