Tram rail in Melbourne
Coming from Queensland originally, biggest difference on the roads here in Melbourne are the tram rails. My question is, does going over tram rails all the time knock your wheel out of alignment? I know this is a bit crazy but I have been slowing down to about 10-20km eveytime I go over rail....
Also anyone can recommend me a place to go for wheel alignment here please?

My only advice with tram lines is don't stop on them at the lights. When the light goes green it can get messy with the car in front...no idea on the best place for wheel alignment though, sry.

as for places to get a wheel alignment done, how about any tyre shop in the city!

If you need an alignment go to a leading tyre place or get BMW to do it.

Alignment isn't something to be particularly worried about with tram tracks, it's the lack of grip when going from concrete/bitumen to smooth steel. You'll notice most drivers will hang half out of their lane into the next one to avoid driving along them for great distances.
It's not much fun in a FWD car, I've yet to experience it in an RWD one (I pick up my 320d next saturday ![]() m. |

I would recommend donnellans in box hill as i've had them do mine 3 times so far and been happy with it. i also know that Doncaster BMW send all their cars there for any tyre/alignment work which is the reason i took it their as well instead of having the dealer take my car there and drive it back.

Yeah i've used trutrack as well for my Alfa a couple of years back. My mechanic who was also based in North Melbourne use to swear by their work. It was around $75 from memory.
