Grr, Cement
Im sitting at home doing homework (ya thats a first) when I get a frantic call from the father saying how he was driving the m6 with the top down and some asshole was leaking cement. Its all over the driverside interrior and exterior. Wtf am I supposed to do. He told me when he gets home to wash it but how do you get cement off?

You wash it. As long as it's not dry, you're good to go.

Tell him to hit a car wash on the way. Self serve type.

The light acids in household vinegar (cement and concrete are different so be specific) will break the bond (Dissolve the lime compounds) on fresh concrete.

As Patrick mentioned, vinegar or rubbing alcohol will dissolve un-cured concrete. If it has hardened this stuff works wonders:
http://www.topoftheline.com/cement-c...over-auto.html Just be really careful when washing, semi-hard cement/concrete will scratch the piss out of your paint, so go slow and be thorough. |

Thanks all, it wasnt hardened yet when he got home so I quickly washed those areas first then gave the whole car a bath. It was like powdered cement that hadent been fully mixed yet so it came off quite easily. The only problem I have now is I need to find someone who can claybar and wax the car because last time the father washed it, well lets just say he didnt think about water spots! =0

Cold chisel always works for me. If it's a big job, try a pneumatic jack-hammer.
