Another thing that should be mentioned about snow. Lots of little pebbles and debris get stuck in the snow. If you take the snow off, you could be introducing scratches into the paint. I let the snow melt off the car. I don't touch it with anything.

I don't bother removing any snow/ice except on windows. It just blows off during the first few minutes of driving.
