it would be better if you could have it pop out from the grill via a cut out. Since the grill is black you really wont notice.... its the only way to get it centered but even then it would look terrible.

I know, anything that requires modifying the way the front end of the car works/is supposed to be is going to end up tackifying it, whether they be hooks, a conveyor belt, or a disappearing act of a license plate via leather curtains

Just register the car in Michigan. No front plate and the annual registration fee is about $150. Emission and safety inspections are not required as well.
For you Cali this is huge cost save. |

i actually looked into getting the swift front plate, contacted the manufacturer and they said that it doesnt fit onto BMWs very well and that the screws wont line up properly on the underside to be able to mount

In The People's Republic of Massachusetts, driving without a front plate is considered a moving violation.. which means you pay the ticket and all the insurance surcharges for the next 7 years..
You also fail your annual state vehicle inspection without one or if you are blocking any words on the plate with a license plate frame you insta-fail as well.. Why I live here or anyone would want to live here i dunno --mike |
