High pressure fuel pump (HPFP) install instructions
Its a little too long to post it here so I hosted it on our site in PDF format.
This is a detailed guideline on how to change out your stock HPFP for a new one. It took me about two hours with the shop. I would say a first timer in a garage should set aside about 4 hours total to do it the job. I would also recommend reading through the entire thing before tearing into the job. Enjoy! http://www.amsperformance.com/instru.../BMWHPFDIY.pdf |

This will just swap out a bad pump for a new one. I tore apart my existing pump to have it looked at and its a pretty cool piece. Three pistons drive the pump....much like a sureflo pump. I am going to send it out to some of our fuel experts to see if they can find the cause of the problem or even build a higher volume unit
