I just thought of the perfect analogy for v4 throttle pedal control

It has to do with cartons of milk... bare with me.

I've easily put down over 1500 miles since I started testing V4 and since day one I've been trying to figure out a way to describe how the throttle feels. Today while driving around aimlessly I figured it out:

You know when there's a carton of milk in the fridge from who-knows-when and you go to pick it up... WHIFFFFFF... and nearly throw it over your shoulder? Well this is the complete opposite. It's as if you just bought a brand new really heavy carton and 2 minutes later you go to pick it up knowing EXACTLY how it's going to feel. Well this is how the throttle feels at all time with v4.

Overall the throttle just feels heavier because there is absolutely zero play at all and you KNOW there is not going to be any play. You know every single ever-so-slight movement at any point (rpm/gear/whatever) translates immediately to whatever it is you're about to do. The brain just perceives the peddle as being extra heavy.

So in retrospect: yes, today has been a slow work day. And yes, i just compared v4 throttle play to a heavy carton of low-fat milk. I think others will agree

+1

I seriously like that analogy. It makes sense... in a weird way.

Or how about lifting a suitcase that you thought was full.

interesting analogy - but i think i am feeling the exact opposite - the car responds so well to pedal input that the car itself feels light, which i guess, in turn, means the pedal feels light too?

2 minutes later and I'm pouring it into my cereal not whiffing the milk. Did you guys like glue when you were little? lol

It does get the point across though... the pedal feels heavier while the car feels lighter. No more having to go full wot to get you moving.
