Help please on intercooler outlet pipe removal!

Hey guys, please help me out!

Tried to follow this thread:http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91461

I just gave up on trying to remove the stock intercooler outlet pipe to replace with one I've modified with a meth nozzle. I can't for the life of me wrestle the damn thing past the various cooling and AC lines. I'm about to cut the damn thing in half, but I need it for dealer visits!

I read the above thread where the pipe was pulled out through the bottom of the car with the intercooler dropped, but I tried to replicate this method and could not find a way to pull the pipe out from the bottom or top. The main problem is the damn fan shroud clip that gets in the way!!! AAAHHHH!!!

Perhaps the 09 E92 pipe just has more lines surrounding it than the 07, thus boxing it in?

Any suggestions will be appreciated before I get out my cut-off saw.

So you're trying to replace the stock charge pipe with one that has the meth bungs? Like the one Stett offers? Or like the one Vishnu offers?

IMO, either one would be easier to replace if you took out the whole OEM charge pipe.......

I am removing the entire stock charge pipe, but I am having trouble removing the lower section that connects to the intercooler. It is wedged in pretty tight between the various cooling/AC lines. I can't get that section out even though I've completely disconnected it from the intercooler and upper charge pipe at the flexible elbow.

I think I see where you have trouble. You can't get that pipe out in one part (it's composed of two sections). You need to cut/tear apart the metal clip which connects the two parts. I used a dremel to cut it, as it's quite difficult to remove it and working space is limited.

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure if the E92s have tighter clearance( it shouldn't bc it's practically the identical engine and components just in a coupe). But when I installed my BOV, I remember having to use a little bit of force by twisting the elbow and loosen it that way before pulling on it. If there's a metal c-clip then use a screw driver to pop that piece off first.....
