I want to clear any potential piggyback codes
Got a indy to check over it - everything was fine.

The + should not throw codes.. but I would head to the fl regional forum and see if someone is in your area. They will probably let you use their cable for a dinner or something.

Yes. Rarely are they available outside of dealerships.

A GT1 can clear codes and you can find them outside of dealerships. They are expensive so they tend to be at more upscale shops and upscale tuning shops.
You can purchase, or an indy shop may have a Peake scan tool which can also clear all BMW codes. They are ~$150 new. |

Thanks JayKay - I called my local BMW indy shop and they have a GT1. Gonna run the car over there and have it read/cleared. Gonna charge me 1/2 of labor (fine with me - knowing that there were no piggy codes or that it's now clear) is worth it.

Good stuff. But they want to charge your 30-50$ just to spend 30 seconds clearing your codes? Damn, I'd tell him 20$ take it or leave it.
