damn whatever money you saved by buying a car with weird cosmetic issues is costing you just as much getting it fixed.

Did anyone have any ideas on how to get the original leather smell back? I got my car from a dealer 10 months old and they sprayed some stupidly strong scent on to the carpets which made everyone who sat in my car feel like puking, that aside, the leather smell which you get in new cars is totally gone, except when you pull down the rear arm rest lol...

Any ideas???

PB LeatherStuff seems to restore that leather smell but if they sprayed something that is seriously taking over you will need to have that smell ozoned out first!

apc clean the seats and shampoo the carpets. then use a product like PB leather, or chemical guys leather conditioner for that leather smell. I also hear the zaino leather smells good and lasts a while!

The key to elimiating the perfume smell would be to find something that neutralizes the chemical causing the smell that also does not create its own smell

Last year we purchase a 9mth old Q7 and it was marked down many times over 5mths they had it.
Turns out that they probably couldn't sell it because of the cigarette smell we discovered a day after buying it.

I purchased Vamoose no scent (which smelled like white vinegar) and after 2 or 3 applications to the suspected areas around the drivers seat, door and A-pillar it is completely gone.

See if you can identify where the smell is coming from. I suspect it may be in the headlining or A and B pillar. Just imaging spraying on perfume with vents on and see where it goes.

Try this 1Z Einsett Klima Cleaner as well:

Also, you may want to remove that seat so that it's easier to clean the carpet.
