Once I wrote a 2 pages letter to BMW Canada complaining T & C on some warranty repair work done on my car a year ago and they replied me saying T & C was probably handling the repair the best possible way they are required to perform. They also included a coffee mug with the letter to keep my mouth busy.LOL

I guess BMW Canada doesn't really discipline any dealers for POOR after-sales services and just reward whoever sold more cars.

This is very disappointing indeed to hear about Autohaus. I had a great sales experience there, with my SA; the Manager seemd friendly too and even the business manager. Mind you I was communicating with my SA for quite a while, so I was not just some guy off the street.

I'm now wary of taking my new car in there for service. Is Open Road or Parkview any better?

The dealer I went to didn't bother to check my brakes, they just told me "oh, the brake countdown came on, you need new brakes!" So they just replaced everything instead of checking it...

The brake pads and rotors were cheap... it was the labour that was high... I paid abotu $600 total for my rears...

When I picked up my car, they still had the error code on... and they couldn't reset it. In the end, I had to reschedule ANOTHER appointment to fix it. They reflash my software and it still had issues. Turned out they said the brake sensor corroded and had to do a little maintanance on it (jeez, I thought they are suppose to replace that in the first place, as stated in my invoice)

Wherever you go .... DO NOT go to Maranello for servicing . They are 1000x worse than Autohaus & TC. The SA @ Maranello talked me down as I was a 16 year old kid. Lastly, they are just plain lazy if you want them to do any warranty work.

I've actually heard from e46toronto that Parkview is probably the best dealership to go for service.

But then again I think because one of the technicians was an avid e46toronto member.

Nonetheless I only heard good things about them. That's where I was planning to go all my service.

Why is none of this getting back to the principals of these dealerships? I mean there are instances where you cannot please everyone all of the time, but Autohaus and T&C are slammed more often than not and quite a lot on this board. I'm sure some of the SA's and sales people from these dealerships read these boards. C'mon, improving service will yield long term gain.

Baffles me as well.

Familia brings all our cars to Open Road, best dealer & service hands down. BMW Toronto is equally as good.

Autohaus is by far the worst dealership in my experience with BMW so far.

The SA's are straight out scammers. They are clueless when it comes to running an ethical business. there were many times they over blown their diagnosis or what needs to be serviced, and then my good friend who is a mechanic would come with me next time around and easily turn the conversation around.

who do they think they are? it is the SA's who ruin the owndership of a new bmw.

running a business well, serving your clients well can only yield long term business revenue and returning customers. freakin' skill-less bottom feeders don't understand this simple business principle.

The -640000 thing is common with our cars, rear brake sensor issue. I'd say I'm surprised Autohaus didn't know that, but they did and were trying to take you for $900, so ya.

The first time I had my car there for engine ticking noise the rep said they never heard of the issue. On the next visit manager admitted that it's common on this engine. I'm not that easily surprised any-more...

oh yeah, for sure. those people at the BMW Autohaus at Steeles are completely incompetent. Their assisstant manager is so dumb and rude. I swear he's either sucking boss' dick or banging his daughter to get that job.

The answers he provides are very out of common sense that you wonder if the janitor is filling in for his spot.

ive never serviced at Autohaus, and this is exactly why. Its literally 5 min from my house but Ive never heard anything good out of there.
I almost bought my car there and am pleased to say the deal fell through.
I service at Town and Country in Markham, Ive never had a bad experiece there. I am treated with respect and dignity everytime I pull in. Even things I thought I would have to pay for have been covered under warranty. I highly recommend that dealer!

Good experience so far!!!

So far so good with my experience at Autohaus. Maybe because their were some personnel changes but so far no troubles. I hope it stays that way. But if any of you guys have any problems in the future, contact OMVIC! Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council. These guys are the ones that protect both comsumers and dealerships. The mediate any problems that may come about. Also, OMVIC are the ones that give dealerships their licences to sell. Google OMVIC and you can find aid there. I recently had them handle a situation with Audi. They are very helpful and upfront. Good luck everyone!!!
